Socially Responsible
We take our responsibilities - to our customers, to our
employees, to our stakeholders - very seriously indeed. For
instance, we have developed a number of ethically-based policies
and principles to guide us in our work and we take various measures
to make sure we conduct our business in a responsible way.
Outsourcing is a key element of our management strategy and we
expect our suppliers to ensure that their products and services are
produced and delivered in line with our Ethical Trading Code of
Practice. These principles lie at the very heart of our procurement
processes.
For example, the suppliers we work with to produce our personal
navigation devices (PNDs) are all ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
certified. The ISO 14001 standard covers environmental performance:
it's designed to ensure that companies control and minimise any
harmful effects on the environment and achieve continual
improvement in their environmental performance. The OHSAS 18001
standard is designed to help organisations control their
occupational health and safety risks. For more information, please

We're also incredibly active in the community. Employees
participate in a number of charity events across the world and we
encourage involvement in programmes to improve the surrounding
communities where we're based.
